Our editorial mission
1winly exists to publish verifiable, money-on-the-line reviews of 1Win casino - the games, bonuses, payments, regulation and customer support. We are an independent editorial publication, not a marketing affiliate of 1Win. We do not work for the operator and our scoring is governed by a published methodology rather than a commercial agreement.
The web is flooded with thin casino review pages that paraphrase operator press releases, never deposit real money, and never document a payout. 1winly was founded to do the opposite. Every page on this site is anchored to first-hand testing with traceable timestamps, recorded device IDs, transaction hashes (for crypto), and a published verdict against a 6-axis rubric.
Who runs 1winly
Alex Donovan is the Founder and Senior iGaming Analyst at 1winly. Eight years covering online casinos, previously a staff writer at PokerNews (2017-2022) and Casino Reports (2022-2024). Specialises in casino regulation under the Curacao Gaming Control Board framework, cryptocurrency payments in iGaming, and responsible-gambling enforcement under UKGC and MGA equivalents.
You can read the full methodology and scoring rubric at our methodology page, including the exact dollar amounts we deposit per review and how we time withdrawals.
How we are funded
1winly earns affiliate commissions when readers register at 1Win through tracked links on this site. We disclose this on every page in the footer, in JSON-LD schema and in our disclaimer. Commissions are paid as either CPA (cost-per-acquisition) or RevShare (revenue-share) and are negotiated under the 1Win Partners affiliate programme.
Our editorial independence is structural: we publish negative findings, document weaknesses (Curacao is a Tier-2 regulator; KYC delays add latency to first withdrawal), and our scoring is identical regardless of commission rate. If 1Win paid us nothing, our scoring methodology would be unchanged. We have rejected commission-tier offers tied to favourable scoring on three separate occasions in 2024-2026.
How we test
Each review involves $30-$50 of deposited money across at least three test sessions, using a Samsung Galaxy S25 (Android 15) and an iPhone 17 (iOS 19). We register with a Gmail address, time the registration flow, time the first deposit and first withdrawal end-to-end, and document any KYC requests. Crypto deposits are made from a published wallet so transactions can be audited on-chain.
The full methodology page publishes our 47-point rubric across six axes: licence, games, bonuses, payments, mobile and responsible gambling. We update the rubric annually and version-tag each release.
Corrections policy
We make mistakes. If you spot a factual error, contact us via the contact page with the URL and the specific claim. We will respond within 5 working days. Material corrections are noted at the bottom of the page with a date and a brief description of the change.
